Roger Ryan to Teach at the World’s Largest Contemporary Music School!

NASHVILLE — Producer, arranger, and AfterTouch CEO Roger Ryan is adding a major “first” to his impressive list of titles – Masterclass Music Instructor! The Grammy and Dove nominated artist has been invited to join the ranks of top music professionals from around the globe at this year’s Performance Artistry and Leadership (PEARL) Certificate Program in Berklee Abu Dhabi. It is the largest independent contemporary music school in the entire world!

PEARL offers world-class educational experiences through a myriad of workshops, masterclasses, ensembles, and labs. The certificate program is a highly competitive, project-based, experiential learning artist accelerator designed to equip participants with the powerful tools and strategies needed to excel in songwriting, production, marketing, and entrepreneurship. For a three-week stint, Ryan will serve as an instructor at the prestigious music school.

Aspiring producers, writers, musicians, and vocalists who apply to the elite program undergo an extensive application and interview process. Once accepted, they are given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to glean directly from some of the world’s most highly esteemed musicians. Already a teacher and mentor in his own right, AfterTouch Music CEO Roger Ryan has worked with some of the music world’s finest talent! They include Whitney Houston, Wynona Judd, Lelah Hathaway, Oleta Adams, Shirley Caesar, Kirk Whalum, Brian McKnight, Kirk Franklin, Take 6, Kenny Rogers, Faith Evans, Yolanda Adams, and many more.

From concept to finish, artists will have the opportunity to gain mastery in their given craft and receive immediate feedback from masterclass instructors. In addition, the experience will provide participants insight and guidance in developing their brand as leaders in the global music industry. Roger is no stranger to mentoring and training artists. Since the 90s, he has been providing exposure opportunities for Indie artists through his music company. He is looking forward to facilitating similar experiences for PEARL students. “I am extremely honored to be part of the molding process for the next generation of worldwide music influencers,” says Ryan.

Ryan’s expertise spans across genres as is reflected in the wide range of talent he has produced over the years. His extensive experience has taken him to faraway places such as Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific Islands, the Caribbean, Africa, South America, Vienna, Germany, Milan, Budapest, Moscow, Ukraine, and the UK.

In addition to teaching concepts such as songwriting, arranging, and music production, Roger goes beyond music to connect with and affirm his students by building their confidence to believe in themselves and by challenging them to unlock the potential of their gifts so that they can ultimately share it with the world. Since he has always wanted to attend Berklee, the invitation to teach at Berklee Abu Dhabi is a high honor for Roger Ryan!
